Why it's on the shelf
On the surface it's a simple story about a boy leaving everything to chase his 'Personal Legend.' But the idea that the world quietly conspires to help once you truly commit has stuck with me longer than most books I've read.
What I love is how unhurried it is. It doesn't argue a point, it just tells a story and trusts you to feel the lesson. I read it in an afternoon and have re-read pieces of it many times since.
